Biography
Eamon Sullivan is recognised as one of Australia’s most successful stars of the pool. The one time World Record holder in both the 50m and 100m freestyle, Eamon is hungry to reclaim his status as the fastest man in the pool in the lead up to the 2012 London Olympic Games.
Most recently, Eamon was part of the gold medal 4×100m freestyle relay team at the 2011 FINA World Championships, beating the USA. After overcoming hip surgery six weeks out from the 2010 Commonwealth Games trials, Eamon beat the odds to win the 100m Freestyle at the Australian National Championships, booking his place on the team and taking home bronze in the 100m freestyle and gold in the 4×100m medley relay and the 4×100m freestyle relay.
Eamon made his Australian Team debut at the 2004 Athens Olympics as a member of the 4 × 100m freestyle relay. From a relay swimmer to the leading man, Eamon swam his way to the top of Australian sprinting before conquering the world, and becoming World Record holder in the 50m and 100m Freestyle in early 2008. At his second Olympics, Eamon came away with two silver and one bronze medal in Beijing.
Eamon is currently training hard in preparation for the 2012 London Olympic Games..
